Av Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Laugh, and the world laughs with you;
    Weep, and you weep alone;
For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth,
    But has trouble enough of its own.
Sing, and the hills will answer;
    Sigh, it is lost on the air;
The echoes bound to a joyful sound,
    But shrink from voicing care.
Rejoice, and men will seek you;
    Grieve, and they turn and go;
They want full measure of all your pleasure,
    But they do not need your woe.
Be glad, and your friends are many;
    Be sad, and you lose them all,—
There are none to decline your nectared wine,
    But alone you must drink life’s gall.
Feast, and your halls are crowded;
    Fast, and the world goes by.
Succeed and give, and it helps you live,
    But no man can help you die.
There is room in the halls of pleasure
    For a large and lordly train,
But one by one we must all file on
    Through the narrow aisles of pain.

Music Monday #3

Music Monday is upon us once again, and this time I have a real banger to present. I found this track via a tweet actually, and fell in love instantly. I can’t say I’ve heard much about this Kiesza before, but something tells me that we will hear more from this girl. The track reminds me of those early 2000 summer dance tracks (think Ann Lee – Two Times), and also a good dash of 90s house. The video looks amazing with interesting dancing and the cool NYC backdrop. I can’t believe they shot it in one take!

What’s for dinner?

Lately I have been on the lookout for new recipes and foods to try out, and have frequently been searching for inspiration online. Here are some of the recipes I find irresistible!

The perfect Italien chicken ciabatta-panini.

A Mexican Quinoa Chicken Casserole.

Pizza Bianca with Prosciutto and Fig.

And of course perfect homemade ice cream… I mean, who can resist?

Style: Men’s Fashion Week Favourites

Louis Vuitton

Paris: Coats, coats, coats, it’s all about the COAT. I especially love the beautiful light colors of beige and grey, but when that is said, I hate the stupid glasses.

Frankie Morello

Milan: Frankie Morello presented a playful, youthful fall/winter collection inspired by a hypothetical “space odyssey”. Great details, great patterns, great style for both casual everyday-wear and special occasions.

Paris: Again, it’s all about the perfect winter coat, and I will never get tired no matter how many big ass winter coats I see down the runway. Valentino showed a simple and classic menswear show for FW13, well, except for the smashing navy suit of course.
