App of the week: Polaroid Swing

swing-app_product-images-450x400a

Yet again, polaroids are reinvented with another image app. As a big fan of the Polaroid brand, I was very excited to learn about the release of the brand new app Swing. The imaging app lets you shoot 60 burst photos that develop into animated images. This is not the first app of its kind, what sets Swing apart is that you control the playback of the moving picture with the motion of your phone and your fingertips.

Swing is still a very basic application, and you are not even able to comment on pictures yet. At the same time, Swing presents a pleasing minimalistic design in its simplicity and is very straightforward to use.

bye Mexico

You can download Polaroid Swing in the app store

Quoteful tuesday

Screen Shot 2016-02-02 at 16.06.54

Quoteful is not a word, but it should be, it would mean “full of quotes”. So this is my Tuesday full of quotes, inspiring and funny, bold and mindful, heartfelt and strong.

“People who work on things stay together, otherwise you’re gonna end up alone, like Cher” Hannah Helene Horvath (character on HBO’s GIRLS played by Lena Dunham

“It is not ignorance but knowledge which is the mother of wonder” Joseph Wood Krutch

“Love is friendship that has caught fire. It is quiet understanding, mutual confidence, sharing and forgiving. It is loyalty through good and bad times. It settles for less than perfection and makes allowances for human weaknesses”
Ann Landers

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony” Mahatma Gandhi

“In order to properly understand the big picture, everyone should fear becoming mentally clouded and obsessed with one small section of truth” Xun Zi

“I don’t trust words. I trust actions”
Unknown (but totally my mentality after a hard time last year)

“Every day do something that will inch you closer to a better tomorrow”

How I love all these amazing quotes from this person called Unknown! Such an inspiring person! Hahaha, juuuuuuust kidding ;)

Solitude

Av Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Laugh, and the world laughs with you;
    Weep, and you weep alone;
For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth,
    But has trouble enough of its own.
Sing, and the hills will answer;
    Sigh, it is lost on the air;
The echoes bound to a joyful sound,
    But shrink from voicing care.
Rejoice, and men will seek you;
    Grieve, and they turn and go;
They want full measure of all your pleasure,
    But they do not need your woe.
Be glad, and your friends are many;
    Be sad, and you lose them all,—
There are none to decline your nectared wine,
    But alone you must drink life’s gall.
Feast, and your halls are crowded;
    Fast, and the world goes by.
Succeed and give, and it helps you live,
    But no man can help you die.
There is room in the halls of pleasure
    For a large and lordly train,
But one by one we must all file on
    Through the narrow aisles of pain.
