Last week I jumped on a plane to Paris to get away for the week. Back to summer and 32*c weather, back to the city of lights, back to macarons, baguettes, and red wine. My trip didn’t have the best start, a mix of a colder nordic climate, in-flight air condition, and an extremely warm Paris gave me a fever for the first two days of my trip, so my trip really started on my third day, Wednesday, which was the same day as I switched hotels to the beautiful Hotel Chavanel right in the center of the city. What a lovely place to stay! I got the junior suite of this boutique hotel, which consisted of a beautiful bedroom-livingroom space, a desk (which comes very much in handy as a travel blogger) and a huge bathroom with a gorgeous big shower and a huge bubble bathtub. What more can you ask for in a home away from home?
The hotel is located on the 22 rue de Tronchet, right in the 8ème of Paris close to the Madeleine metro station. It’s always a good idea to stay right in the middle of the city since a day in Paris can take you east, west, north and south.

A walk to the Jardin du Palais-Royal to sit in the park and get a coffeé at my favourite coffeé-place Café Kitsuné is always included in my travels to Paris.

I also made a visit to Centre Pompidou for The Beat Generation-exhibition about the beatnick generation. Centre Pompidou also gives you one of the most beautiful views of Paris, all the way from the Sacré-Coeur to the Eiffel tower.
